Heroes on the Move Video Game With Sony PS3 Move Support

Article by Billy Morris

Heroes on the Move is an upcoming video game with Playstation Move support that will see the crossover of three different major video game franchises, fusing characters together in an unforgettable storyline for a total of six main characters. Title characters from Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, and the Sly Cooper series will join together with a brand new arsenal of weapons in order to battle their way through the galaxy.

Players will face an alien duo sweeping through the galaxy and snatching different pieces of each of the franchises' worlds, forming an entirely new galaxy made up of pieces from each of the character's own world. As the character's realize they have been hijacked from their own world into a new world created from pieces of each of the different galaxies, they realize they must band together to stop this new alien menace once and for all in order to return the worlds to the way they were before the alien intervention.

Heroes on the Move for Playstation Move was debuted at E3 and while it is not a launch title for the Playstation 3 Move, it is one of the most hotly anticipated titles of 2011. With an estimated Spring release of 2011, Heroes on the Move will feature Ratchet & Clank style gameplay in which players can utilize the six different characters from four major franchises in order to shoot, smash, and throw their way through the world.

Debuting as one of the first action-adventure titles on the Playstation Move and in development by Nihilistic Software, this never before seen mixture of characters coming together in an epic world will likely be one of the biggest hits of Q1 2011. The Ratchet & Clank series has seen multiple successes on the PS2, PS3, and PSP platforms, in addition to Jak & Daxter who have had several spin-offs themselves, including a PSP titular game that stars Daxter in his own epic journey.

Sly Cooper on the PS3 will be an entirely new experience, with the original Sly Cooper being a best selling title on the Playstation 2. It is unknown whether Sly will retain any of his master thief abilities or what the benefits will be in playing one character over another, but the recent free Playstation Move trailer released for the game shows co-operative action between local players controlling two different characters from the franchise. It is unknown at this time whether the game campaign will be a fully-featured co-op story, or if there is a separate co-op story to be experienced.

The free PS3 Move integration with the game means smoother controls and better support for aiming, which is a major part of the Ratchet & Clank series and is the style Heroes on the Move will feature. The Playstation Move software will need to be purchased independently of the game, though there is speculation that Sony will release a Heroes on the Move Bundle as an incentive to get fans of all four franchises to jump on board with the new control scheme.
